Long term student program

What is LTSP?

Ahlan World Arabic Center is giving long-term students the opportunity to be involved in one of five research projects during their stay abroad. The projects cover an array of topics related to the Arabic Language.

Why LTSP?

Ahlan World has identified the need of long-term students who come to study Arabic in our centers to have a purpose and an area of focus in their studies. The project aims at helping the student in developing his/her academic skills and strengthening their Arabic Language.

1- LANGUAGE PROJECT

This project covers a variety of topics; it can vary from an essay about the history of the Arabic language to a case study about the difficulties encountered by non-native speakers in learning Arabic.

2- CULTURE PROJECT

You can write an essay that gives a close look at the customs and traditions or arts of the Arab world, or even dives into the cultural identity of Arabs.

3- COMMUNTIY PROJECT

Work either voluntary within an Arab organization and document the experience, or visit and discuss with a community welfare based organization their philosophy and cultural expectations.

4- COMPARISON PROJECT

Engage in a comparative analysis between the Arab culture and another culture. Research a topic that gives an interesting perspective and offers solutions to deal with cultural differences.

5- LITERATURE PROJECT

Write about a novel or an article of a well-known Arab Author, poet or a philosopher who had an impact on the Arab literature.
