The In-depth Media program provides an excellent opportunity to experience what it is like to be a journalist. Students analyze Middle Eastern media such as Al Jazeera, BBC Arabic, and al-Arabiyya. The course offers both language and cultural insights and allows students to engage and apply their MSA skills in a stimulating and critical learning environment. 15 hours per day, 240$ per week.
Ahlan’s comprehensive media and language Ten Week Program offers students an unparalleled journalistic study into Arab media through a intense six week communication-orientated language course and one full-time internship with the internationally renowned Petra News Agency. This course is designed to provide students with versatile skills for a variety of future career paths, such as a media, professional or academic environments.
The programme schedule is divided as follows:
4 weeks of MSA + JCA classes (Linguistic Package) at Ahlan
2 weeks of Media classes (In-depth media) at Ahlan
2 weeks of theoretical and practical courses at Petra News Agency
2 weeks of an internship at a local media organization (to be determined in-country)
8 one-to-one classes
